Things have been nothing short of bananas round here. Pre wedding prep and a slight diversion on a little other blog I had have meant no time on here. Things will be properly sorted come August! Where there shall be plenty photos from Stag, wedding, and honeymoon.

Problems?

Tum di dum

Not too much to write about at this precise moment in time... I'm at work all this week, and Bec is having a week of (well deserved) relaxation at Residence Colchester before things really kick into gear in wedding / moving house preparation.

Brought Bec back from uni at the end of last week. The end of another era! Cue photo of strangely empty room:
















Things will be slightly chaotic over the next couple of weeks: all Bec's stuff needs to come over here, combined with all Stu's stuff needs to be moved out (end of another era! termed the scrubs and monkeyball era) and well yes its going to be a bit mad.

But good.

Camera!

Aha! I am now able to connect to Bec's camera and put photos on the machine that are of slightly better quality than my humble phone :-)

Master Barbecuer at work

The excuse for this Barbecue was flatmate Stewart's leaving do of sorts. Seeing how I'm getting married in oooooh 4 weeks I unfortunately need to turf him out. Which is a shame, as its been a laugh. I am getting a wife in return though, which with all due respect due to Stu, she's a bit prettier really ;-)

Work is a pain

Having slight issues with work at the moment. Stag do, ostensibly organised for the 9th july, has all been sorted, booked etc back in February time. However, back then we didn't realise it was the world cup. This in itself is not a problem as we'd have finished by the time the game is over (and we've got no chance of getting to the finals anyway).

Howeverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I've had my leave cancelled at work! I've been told to go in for a 7am-7pm shift on that Sunday which doesn't leave any room to maneuvre at all.

I'm trying to wangle my way out of it but it's not looking too hopeful at the moment :-/

There may be a sudden last minute change to the 22nd july... will need a fair old amount of logistical shifting and hassle though, which is tedious.

Bee Reprieve

Hum. Well, according to the council they don't take action with bumblebee nests. The best thing to do is wait for the queen to die at the end of the summer and that'll be the end of it. So will just have to put up with them crawling out from underneath the washing machine for the time being...

Well my humane efforts of trying to simply shut the door to the bumblebee des res somewhere in my wall has not been particularly successful. I don't how or where they're getting in now but the ones which are now constantly appearing in the kitchen and bathroom are getting bigger. I'm afraid its a call to the council....
